Ruby's Music Room is a new, vibrant and exciting live music and dining venue in the heart of Melbourne's CBD.
Situated on the corner of Little Lonsdale Street and Bennetts Lane, Ruby's bright yellow entrance is tucked neatly in a secret alleyway; to find it, one must pass her eclectic windows filled with interesting Cubano dolls, Maoist & New Orleanian memorabilia; miniature pianos, jewellery, menus, cigar wrappers, images and more from around the world.
Ruby's doesn't only offer an amazing space and astounding music; she also offers wining and dining too! With a classy Cuban inspired Evening tapas menu and beautiful breakfast and lunch options one can enjoy the finer things while immersed in the music of the day.

When the Old Melbourne Gaol as built in the mid-1800s, it dominated the Melbourne skyline as a symbol of authority. Inside the Gaol, dangerous criminals were held alongside petty offenders, the homeless and the mentally ill. Between 1842 and its closure in 1929 the gaol was the scene of 133 hangings including Australia's most infamous citizen, the bushranger Ned Kelly.
Today you can visit the Old Melbourne Gaol to find out was life was like for the men and women who lived and died here all those years ago. |
